2017-2018 House League Program

The 2017-18 Volleyball House League program is a partnership between the Northumberland Breakers’ Volleyball Club and the Northumberland YMCA. Boys and girls in grades 4 to 8 are taught the skills of volleyball and are exposed to game situations. Balanced teams with a variety of skills and ages are assembled for House League play.  Players learn individual skills, sportsmanship and the importance of playing as a team. No previous volleyball skill is required, just a desire to participate and have fun.

Our coaching staff include an Adult Supervisor and Northumberland Breakers senior athletes.  All coaches undertake training with the Northumberland YMCA and the Northumberland Breakers Volleyball Club.

Benefits of the Program:

• No tryouts... however we accept a limited number of participants
• All sessions include warm up, skill development and game play
• Excellent opportunity to enhance skills, improve fitness, prepare for your school season and have fun

​Registration:  All registrations will take place at the Northumberland YMCA during regular YMCA hours.      

Location: St. Mary's Secondary School, Cobourg

Date/Time: Friday Evenings, 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, excluding holidays and PA days

Session dates:  October 13 to March 2

Cost:  $150
